This been a weird week , Glenda and I ended up having a meeting over the phone rather than in person , due to my middle two humans both being rather ill this week , just the usual winter virus , but it did wipe both of them out.
we started getting the planning process ready for our upcoming exhibition.
We have decided that we would like to showcase the best of “Inspired”work and we really want to encourage artists to have an opportunity to get their work out into the world.the plans are to have an exhibition biannually. Glenda and I are holding our 1st  Christian Artists together exhibition , Inspired.
It will be held at Kooroon Gallery in Bottesford. Kooroon Gallery is housed at The old sorting house,Bottesford.
Glenda set up Kooroon Gallery originally in her home turning her dining room into a gallery, Glenda had a heart to show the way ,to encourage all artists, to get their work out into the world, as the gallery became more successful bigger premises were required and Glenda helping to realise our mutual friend, Dian’s vision, moved into the old sorting house in early 2019.

This is our first exhibition and we are hoping that by knowing us you know that we want to showcase Christian art that has been Inspired by God, and we love to encourage artists. And that you would like to take part. We are aiming to do a Christian Artists together exhibition biannually. Some of you have already had exhibitions or taken part in the work we do so you know what we are about.
We have plans to have the exhibition on a bit longer with events happening in the evenings. But all of this is in the planning stages right now. And as we have things booked on we can add all the information, but the main exhibition will be on 3,4th July with the events happening all week . But as I’ve said this second part is in the planning stages.
We would like up to 3 images , accompanied with up to 250 words about the pieces of work and your practice. also would like it if 1 of the pieces is for sale but that doesn’t have to be the case.
There’s no hanging fee.
The gallery takes a 30% commission.
Getting your work to and from the exhibition is the responsibility of the artist.

Last weekend Glenda’s Gallery Kooroon  showed the work of Sy Baker and Ernie Butler. It was great to have Ernie back at the gallery and lovely to have a new to us Face in SyBaker.Sy works useing nihonga Japanese method of  pigments and oyster shells , his work has a sublime iridescent quality.
Ernie’ s work explores the landscape , utilising layers of oils he builds atmosphere and huge clouds apes. On the Friday we had live music from Sy and on the Saturday Sy ran a workshop painting on tea bags , using them like mini canvases.
